OLAS serves LGBT immigrants from Latin America seeking a safe and better future in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our program addresses many of the issues our participants face as asylum seekers fleeing homophobic/transphobic violence and discrimination, including:
*Financial hardships *Trauma/PTSD *Family rejection/estrangement *Clinical depression *Anxiety Disorders *Social ostracism (from churches, schools and other community organization) *Job and housing discrimination *Feelings of isolation *Addictions
